This year, the Stoney Creek Showcase was spread over three weekends in September.  Some of the toughest teams from across North America make their way to Stoney Creek to play in front of scouts from many prestigious universities.

This was the East Ottawa Stars' first appearance at the Stoney Creek Showcase.

The showcases started September 9th with the U18 team coming out of their 5 games with a 2-2-1 record.  

The following weekend, U22s played in the University Showcase in front of scouts from many prestigious universities.  Their 5 game record was 2-3-0, with 2 of the 3 loses coming in overtime after fierce battles on the ice.

The U15s ended the three-weekend event playing straight through to the Silver pool championship.  Their record for the weekend was an astounding 5-1-0 with their only loss being in overtime.  They returned home with a Stoney Creek U15AA Showcase Silver Championship banner, sporting a nice set of t-shirts to show their champion status with pride.

Overall, this was a very successful showcase event for the EO Stars as a whole, showing that we are serious contenders in the AA divisions in Ontario.  Heads were turned, and proper attention has started coming to our athletes.
